Dr. Rahsaan Smith was born in Erie, Pennsylvania. He earned his medical degree from State University College of Medicine in Hershey, PA in 2001. He then completed his Internal Medicine Residency, Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship, and Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Dr. Smith is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Interventional Cardiology.
He joined Mount Vernon Cardiology in July 2011 and has a special interest in coronary angiography and interventions, peripheral angiography and intervnetions, edhocardiography and nuclear cardiology.
Dr. Smith will provide services at our Springfield, Mount Vernon and Potomac offices. Additionally he is on staff at the Inova Heart and Vascular Institute at Fairfax Hospital, Inova Alexandria Hospital, Inova Mount Vernon Hospital and Sentara Potomac Hospital.
