Dr. Haji is originally from Kashmir, India. He attended medical school and practiced medicine in India from 1987 through 1993. He emigrated to the United States in 1994 and completed his U.S. Residency in Medicine and Cardiology at the Nassau County Medical Center, an affiliate of SUNY Medical School at Stonybrook, New York from 1994 to 1998. He completed his Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease in 1999 at SUNY Health Sciences Center at Brooklyn and Affiliated Hopsital in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Haji then completed his Fellowship in Clilnical Electrophysiology at SUNY Health Sciences Center at Brooklyn in 2000.
Dr. Haji was Assistant Professor of Cardiology at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio from 2000-2004 and also served as Director of the Electrophysiology Laboratory and the Pacemaker rand ICD Clinic at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Cincinnati. During this time he also was Director of Electrophysiology Services and Electrophysiology Laboratory for the Univeristy of Cincinnati Medical Center.
Dr. Haji practiced cardiology and clinical cardiac electrophysiology at a large cardiology practice in Ohio from September 2004 through May 2009.
Dr. Haji will be Medical Director of the Mount Vernon Cardiology Rhythm Center and will practice primarily at the Mount Vernon Office and Inova Alexandria and Inova Fairfax hospitals.
