Dr. Rajan was born in India. He attended Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, NC. While at Duke, he received a full fellowship to study abroad. He completed his residency at Baylor College School of Medicine in Houston, TX and his cardiology fellowship at George Washington University Medical Center in Washington DC. Dr Rajan is board certified in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, and by the NASPE for Special Competence in Cardiac Pacing.
Appointments: Dr. Rajan is a member of the medical staffs at the Inova Heart and Vascular Institute at Inova Fairfax Hospital, Inova Mount Vernon Hospital, Inova Alesandria Hospital and Potomac Hospital.
Dr. Rajan was an instructor in cardiology at George Washington University Medical Center from 1989-1990.
Professional Organizations: Dr. Rajan is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
Ongoing Contributions to Cardiology: Dr. Rajan is actively involved in advancing the practice of cardiology through research and clinical trials at Inova Fairfax Hospital. He has participated in several clinical studies involving acute myocardial infarction, unstable angina and novel antiplatelet agents in interventional cardiology. Dr. Rajan also is active in the clinical education of the House Staff at Inova Fairfax Hospital.
